As a Quickbooks ProAdvisor, I have spent hundreds of hours within the program. I spend tens of hours more each year understanding the updates and new capabilities. I have been involved with the Intuit Quickbooks program from the old DOS version of 4.0 (15 years ago)to the present versions on the shelf right now!
Clients receive period newsletters and email updates as to the goings on in Washington and the effects to their situation. Additionally, gentle reminders called affectionately "love notes" are sent to help encourage the client to keep up with monthly and annual record keeping.
Unlike others in my industry, I do not bill like an attorney.
(I DO NOT HAVE AN EGG TIMER NEXT TO THE PHONE.) Simple questions are NOT a billable event. Items that lead to value to YOU and those requiring investigation or research are the only billable items. I don't get paid to answer the phone. I work to provide solutions and value in exchange. I know that your "hard earned money" is just that... You will never see a charge for a 3 minute phone call regarding the latest tax or accounting change/event that you have incurred.
